Skaters from the top women’s flat track roller derby leagues in the world will play for the sport’s greatest glory in the international 2014 Women’s Flat Track Derby Association Championships Oct. 31-Nov. 2 in Nashville, Tennessee, United States.  London Rollergirls is among the 12 Division 1 teams that advanced from the four international 2014 WFTDA Playoffs tournaments to compete for the coveted Hydra Trophy and the title of 2014 WFTDA Champions.

To get to the Championships, London Rollergirls first had to earn a ranking in the top 40 of the WFTDA, and then rise to the top three of their Playoffs bracket to advance to Championships. London Rollergirls is the no. 1 seed from the international 2014 WFTDA Playoffs held in

London Rollergirls are delighted to be challenging for the Hydra for the second time.  After a strong showing at our playoff tournament, we hope to build on that and give a great showing for Europe at the highest level of WFTDA play.

The Championship tournament weekend also includes the Division 2 Championship and Third Place games. Teams from five countries will be competing in this year’s Championships weekend.

The Nashville Rollergirls were selected to host this year’s WFTDA Championships. The competition will take place at Municipal Auditorium in downtown Nashville. Tickets, travel information, the competition bracket and more are available at wftda.com/tournaments/championships.
