Fresh Meat Tryouts

  • Saturday 11th February
  • Doors open @ 6pm
  • £5
  • Brixton Recreation Centre

Interested in roller derby? London Rollergirls are opening their door for their latest Fresh Meat intake.

The full Fresh Meat programme is 22 weeks long.
The sessions after the tryout will be held on Saturdays at Brixton Recreation Centre from 6-8pm. Each session is £5 and dues are payable in instalments.

In order to take part in tryouts you will need a full roller derby kit (skates, helmet, kneepads, elbow pads, wrist guards, mouth guard). We will be sending you out more information via email once you have purchased your tickets.

We are also opening up the tryout session to anyone who would also like to learn to referee.
Both skaters and referees will learn non-contact skating skills for the first 10 weeks. Then skaters will progress onto contact-based skills and more advanced skating skills with the LRG Fresh Meat coaches.
Referees will progress onto the practical and theory-based sessions from the LRG Referees. All trainee referees will have the fees of the sessions waived.
