New Fresh Meat Programme starts February 2018!

Want to become part of LRG?

Starting February 2018, London Rollergirls Fresh Meat will be taking skaters on a rolling basis.

Anyone is welcome to join! If you’re a complete beginner interested in joining a bouting league, a wannabe referee or just looking to get a bit fitter and learn how to do something you’ve never done before, then our Fresh Meat programme is the place for you! The programme is open to anyone aged 18 or over.

These sessions will run every Saturday from early February 2018, with new starters being able to join at the beginning of any month, though they have to sign up first via our mailing list.

Bette Noir featured in Judas Magazine, November 2016

Check out 10 years of London Rollergirls in pictures picked by one of our founders, Bette Noir.

In 2006, Bette Noir moved from Los Angeles to London and brought one of the most exciting women’s sports to Europe. “It was like ‘here’s this great thing, its empowering, we’re going to do it, we’re going to make it happen over here’”, she recalls. Since those early days a lot of things have changed. The London Rollergirls are now one of the top four roller derby teams in the world and a lot of new teams and leagues have been born outside the USA.

To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the London Rollergirls we asked Bette to dig deep in her pile of personal memories to share her ten favourite pictures of this first decade of fierce London girls on skates.
