Who Are The Junior Roller Derby League?

Mama Bash School of Hard Knocks is a junior roller derby league for participants under 18 years old who identify as female, intersex, and/or gender expansive.

Our aim is to empower all young skaters by promoting athleticism, good sportsmanship, both teamwork and independence, and positive self-image.

What Skills Will I Learn In The Junior League

Skaters will learn the basic rules of Roller Derby.

As well as activities outside the roller rink that will help to develop those “derby muscles” needed to perform on the track!

If you don’t know how to skate, worry not, we will teach you.

What equipment do I need to play?

The minimum requirements are:

  • Helmet
  • Mouthguard
  • Knee Pads
  • Elbow Pads
  • Wristguards
  • Quad Rollerskates

We know that’s a lot of stuff, so if you don’t have it all or you don’t have any of it then drop us a line and we’ll try to bring as much loaner gear as we can get our hands on.

AND we’ll make sure you still have a great time even if we can’t get you kitted out this time.

How do I join the Junior League?

Currently we have no sessions planned but we are keen to get regular sessions set up and rolling in 2019.
To contact us and/or be added to the mailing list for the latest news on future sessions please email juniorleague@londonrollergirls.com
Participants in our skates sessions should be aged between 10-17 years old (inclusive.)
