Fundamentals September New Intake

Do you want to learn to play roller derby?

Open to those who are brand new on skates, those with skating but no roller derby experience, and previous roller derby skaters looking to get back in the game, our curriculum will teach you everything you need from getting onto your feet, to playing the game.

The first two sessions are priced at £8, moving onto a monthly membership fee (income-based) thereafter.

To participate in the sessions, you’ll need to bring your own equipment, including:

  • A helmet

  • Knee pads

  • Elbow pads

  • Wrist guards

  • Quad skates (skates with 2x2 wheels, as opposed to roller blades)

Limited kit is available to borrow.

London Roller Derby follows the WFTDA (Women’s Flat Track Derby Association) gender policy, which allows women (including transgender and intersex women), non-binary and gender expansive people (including those assigned male at birth) to participate in main league training as skaters. All genders are welcome to join us as roller derby officials (e.g.: referees and non-skating officials).
